Privacy Policy
Your fasts and prayers stay yours.
This policy explains what the Islamic Fasting Calendar app for iPhone (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and who it is shared with.
Last updated: October 13, 2026 · applies to version 1.0.9 and laterIn short
- No account and no sign-up. We don't know your name or email unless you write to us.
- Your fasting records, journal, bookmarks, tasbih counts and settings are stored only on your iPhone.
- Your location is used to work out prayer times. We don't keep it on any server of ours.
- Free users see non-personalized ads from Google AdMob. Premium users see no ads.
- We don't sell your data and we don't track you across other apps.
What the app uses
Location
- What
- Your device's coordinates, only if you allow location access.
- Why
- To calculate prayer, suhoor and iftar times for where you are, and to show your city's name.
- Shared with
- The AlAdhan prayer-times service (coordinates, to return the day's times), Apple (to turn coordinates into a city name) and Google AdMob (approximate region, for ads).
- Your choice
- You can decline location access and pick your city by hand instead.
Device identifier
- What
- An anonymous identifier for your device or app install.
- Why
- To show ads (Google AdMob) and to keep track of a Premium purchase (RevenueCat).
- Not used for
- Identifying you, or tracking you across other companies' apps and websites.
Purchases
- What
- Whether you have bought Premium, and the purchase record from Apple.
- Why
- To unlock Premium, remove ads, and restore your purchase on a new device.
- Shared with
- RevenueCat, which manages purchases for us. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
Ads
- What
- Ad requests and whether an ad was shown or tapped.
- Why
- Ads keep the app free.
- How
- The app only requests non-personalized ads from Google AdMob, so ads are not based on your interests or history.
Stored only on your iPhone
The following never leave your device. We have no copy of them and cannot see them.
- Fasts you planned, kept or need to make up
- Journal entries and daily reflections
- Quran bookmarks and reading progress
- Favorite duas and tasbih counts
- Zakat and charity records
- Your language, calculation method, notification and Adhan settings
- The prayer times and daily duas shown in your widgets, which are shared only between the app and its widgets on the same phone
Prayer and fasting reminders, including the optional Adhan sound, are scheduled on your iPhone. No server sends them.
